I've been trading in the stock market since 2018. Started with F&O, lost some money (like everyone does initially), learned the hard way, and eventually figured out what works. Along the way, I kept building spreadsheets and small tools to help me calculate things — EMIs, SIP projections, tax stuff, you name it.

Why I Built This

Look, I'm not a CA or a certified financial planner. I'm just someone who deals with numbers daily and got frustrated with the options out there.

Every time I needed to calculate something simple — like how much my FD will be worth in 3 years, or what EMI I'll pay for a home loan — I'd end up on sites that either:

  • Wanted me to sign up before showing results
  • Had so many ads I couldn't find the actual calculator
  • Gave results that didn't match what my bank told me
  • Were so complicated that my parents couldn't use them

So I thought — why not just build something that's actually useful? Something my dad can use to check his PPF maturity, my friends can use to plan their SIPs, and I can use for my daily trading calculations.

That's how FinoMeter started. No fancy story about "disrupting fintech" or whatever. Just me, building tools that I wanted to exist.

My Background

Active Trader Since 2018

Started with equity, moved to F&O. I trade almost daily, mostly in Nifty and Bank Nifty options. The calculations on this site? I use them myself.

I run a manufacturing business in Vasai. Dealing with GST, production costing, profit margins — that's why you'll find business calculators here too.

Self-Taught Finance

No MBA, no finance degree. Everything I know comes from books, YouTube, experience, and losing money in the market (the best teacher, honestly).

Every calculator here uses standard formulas — the same ones banks and mutual funds use. I cross-check results with actual bank statements.

What I'm Trying To Do

Keep it simple. Make tools that actually work. Don't ask for signups or emails. Don't sell your data. Just give you the numbers you need so you can make better decisions about your money. That's it.

How I Build These Calculators

I know people wonder if online calculators are accurate. Here's my process:

  1. 1Research the formula — I check RBI guidelines, SEBI documents, Income Tax Act, whatever applies. Not random blogs.
  2. 2Build and test — I code it, then test with real numbers from my own bank statements, tax returns, and broker statements.
  3. 3Cross-check — I compare results with bank calculators (SBI, HDFC) and official sources to make sure they match.
  4. 4Update when laws change — Budget announcements, new tax slabs, LTCG changes — I update the calculators accordingly.
